"Well, Hot & Heavy, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Candy, Jesus Christ"

Title: Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - "Home"

Hello loves. First I want to thank all of you who read the last post, said so many touching things, and most importantly send prayers. I watched a live stream of his memorial yesterday and it was beautiful. May his soul rest in peace.

Today, I decided to post something to cheer this place up. It's a dreary Monday here but this video never fails to brighten up the day. Not only do I love this song (it's my ringtone for when my home, which is usually my mom, calls me), I just love this little daddy/daughter duo. Hope you enjoy it too!

Happy Monday Loves!

Word-Filled Wednesday {23}

One of my favorite posts to do here is Word-Filled Wednesday's. Who doesn't like pretty pictures with inspirational quotes on them? I certainly do.

Today, we are going to switch it up a little.

The beginning of this week I heard terrible news. Another person from my high school graduating class has passed away, making our total losses as 3 in less than 6 years. I was not close to any of these three men but I knew them. It's still scary having people the same age as you die, it's a bit of a reality shock.

The young man who lost his life this week was bravely serving our country. At age 24, he was fighting for all of our freedom in Afghanistan. My heart is broken for his loved ones left behind.

So this week, I ask you all to say an extra prayer for those mourning the loss of this extraordinary man's life and for every other person serving in the military who selflessly put their lives on the line every single day so we can all sleep in our warm beds at night, safe and sound.

"You cannot do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late."

Title: Quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson

Oh blog, how I have missed you. I've been MIA, getting into a new schedule with school and work and everything else life is throwing my way. I've also been neglecting reading blogs too (so sorry, I'll catch up soon. Promise!).

I've still been popping in and out of Twitter and yesterday the lovely and sweet Ivy tweeted about one of her posts. I read over it and fell in love with the idea.

Pay it forward.

The idea of doing something nice for someone, and then in return they will do something nice and the generosity keeps paying forward, brightening others day.

Here's the deal. I promise to send three of you something homemade sometime in 2011. In order to take part, you need to leave me a comment and also post this idea on your blog, continuing to pay it forward.

Simple right?

Make sure in your comment to give me your email address and I will get into contact with you!
