One of my favorite posts to do here is Word-Filled Wednesday's. Who doesn't like pretty pictures with inspirational quotes on them? I certainly do.
Today, we are going to switch it up a little.
The beginning of this week I heard terrible news. Another person from my high school graduating class has passed away, making our total losses as 3 in less than 6 years. I was not close to any of these three men but I knew them. It's still scary having people the same age as you die, it's a bit of a reality shock.
The young man who lost his life this week was bravely serving our country. At age 24, he was fighting for all of our freedom in Afghanistan. My heart is broken for his loved ones left behind.
So this week, I ask you all to say an extra prayer for those mourning the loss of this extraordinary man's life and for every other person serving in the military who selflessly put their lives on the line every single day so we can all sleep in our warm beds at night, safe and sound.

So sad! It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear about our servicemen. I would catch myself overwhelmed sometimes when we were shopping and we'd see all the ladies and gents in their uniforms. (Which was plentiful in a military town!)
I don't think I will ever be able to express my gratitude these exceptional, unselfish people and their families make just so we have the luxuries and freedom we do! Sending big prayers their way!

This touched my heart. All those people really are a miracle to our country. My appreciation for them keeps growing and growing, and I will include him and his family in my prayers.
that is so sad...it always rocks me when someone I know dies especially when they are my age. and esp. when they are overseas fighting. a reminder to appreciate and live each day in the moment! on a happy note, I am excited you made it to Fells Point, I miss Bmore! and gelato :) I am obviously happy to no longer be in a long-distance relationship but it's kinda boring stuck here in central PA ha.
We had a girl die from our class...I didn't know her well either, but the fact that she was my age made it very poignant. Sending thoughts your way.
How heartbreaking. I am sending love and prayers to this brave young man's family, and to all the families and loved ones who have people who are risking their lives to keep us safe.

I am so sorry...that is very heartbreaking.
My graduating class had lost five people by the time our 10-year reunion came around. One was my sweet, beautiful friend named April who died from leukemia.
