"You're The Cutest Thing I Ever Did See"

Title: Steve Miller Band - "The Joker"

Thanks everyone for your happy wishes on our anniversary! I have yet to upload pics but when I do, I will post!

Until then, I want to tell you about one special lady in my life whom I love dearly.

Please say you all know Amanda Leeann? You don't? Seriously, make your life worth it by going over and visiting her blog. You will not regret knowing her.

Amanda was one of my first bloggy friends. She's humorous, intelligent, witty, adorable, gorgeous, queen of all that is TWSS, and straight up boss. She's also talented and posted about Hugh, her adorable owl she made and loves. I now believe in love at first sight since I feel in love with Hugh.

Now I half-joking/half hopingly asked her to make me one too. And she did. One day back in March (yes, I'm that behind, love me through it) I received this adorable package in the mail.

Uhm hi adorable stamped hooty-owls!

Inside I found this gorgeous card and a loving note written to me that made my day.

And then I met my new friend.

Everyone met Helga, Hugh's girlfriend.

As you can see here, I love her something fierce.
But not as much as I love Amanda!

Happy Monday!

"And Though My Edges May Be Rough, I Never Feel I'm Quite Enough, It May Not Seem Like Very Much But I'm Yours..."

Title: The Script - "I'm Yours"

2005

5 years ago today you could have told me my whole life was about to change and I would have never believed you.

5 years ago, I was a young 17 year old who was anxiously preparing to leave for my senior music trip to Florida to venture on a cruise to the Bahamas and spend time in Universal Studios. At that point, my biggest worry was being that far away from home for the first time.

5 years ago today a young boy showed up at my house, a dozen pink tipped white roses in hand, and spent the evening with me. We talked, we sang, we held hands, and we started the beginnings to a beautiful relationship that neither of us knew would be in store.

2006

4 years ago today we dressed up in fancy clothes and you took me out to the nicest restaurant I'd ever been to.

4 years ago today you took me to the top of the city and we overlooked all the lights and enjoyed life being easy.

4 years ago today we celebrated falling in love and surviving one whole year together and wished for more.

2007

3 years ago today I sat at home missing the man who held my heart while was away in Florida for a year.

3 years ago, I was learning that absence is not for the weak. That being away from each other for a year was one of the hardest things either of us had to do but it made our relationship grow stronger and our love became even more infinite.

3 years ago today we reminisced of our first night of our relationship, looking at the stars knowing we'd be together again soon.

2008

2 years ago today we found our new anniversary ritual, visiting the Melting Pot.

2 years ago we learned that when life was tough, we bonded together.

2 years ago, we realized how deep our love ran and that no matter what came against us, we'd make it.

2009

1 year ago today we enjoyed a night away at the harbor, eating delicious food and loving each other even though it was raining.

1 year ago today we laughed that we had made it the length of high school and reminded ourselves how stupid others were in doubting our relationship because we were young and high school sweethearts.

1 year ago to grow together as people individually and as a couple as we continue our journey in life together.

2010

Today we celebrate our 5 year anniversary.

Today I celebrate the love that has grown in me deeper than I could have ever imagined.

Today I love this man more than I did 5 years ago, but less than I will 5 years/25 years/ or even 70 years from now.

Fill In The Blank Friday {4}

It's been too long since I took part in Fill in the Blank Friday over at Lauren's blog. Feel free to head over there and check her answers out and link your own!

1. The first thing I do in the morning is hit the snooze and try to catch as much sleep as I can before I absolutely NEED to get up. Look, I like my sleep.

2. Every night before bed I brush my teeth, take my pill, set my alarm, turn on music, turn on the fan, and cuddle.

3. My favorite thing to do when I'm having a bad day is drive with my windows down singing obnoxiously loud to my music.

4. Something that makes me cringe is being able to hear other people chew. Nothing grosses me out more .

5. Social situations make me stressed, depending. If it is a big occasion or with people who don't know each other, it makes me nervous and I change my clothes 20 times before walking out to door. I worry too much.

6. I like to collect random things. Mugs/glasses, picture frames, good fortunes, and movie ticket stubs.

7. Weekends are for sleeping in, catching up on the DVR, eating out, family time, and seeing friends.

Happy Friday!

Word-Filled Wednesday {3}

I'm a super bad blogger. Due to school eating my life and sickness eating the part that is left, I haven't had the chance to read or write blogs lately. Hopefully this sickness will pass quickly & things can go back to normal. Until then, enjoy another Word-Filled Wednesday!

"I'm Gonna Make Your Life So Sweet"

Title: Archies - "Sugar Sugar"

Well hello Good Friday. Unfortunately I have no been blessed to have today off like many so I take this opportunity to blog it up!

Seeing as Easter is this Sunday (uhm yay!!), let's talk about something really important.

EASTER CANDY!

Now I don't know about you all but my sister and I grew up getting candy baskets. When we were little, not only did we get one from my mom, we;'d go to our Pop-Pop and Mammaw's house and they would hide eggs and our baskets and let us loose in the yard trying to find them all. It's one of those treasured memories from my childhood.

Now seeing as I'm now an old and decrepit 22 years old (almost 23!), you'd think it would have passed. But I excitingly report that my 22 year old self and 32 year old sister still receive candy baskets from my mom. Yeah, she's legit. The only difference has now become that we have to share with the man in our lives (don't worry, we still pick out the best candy for ourselves before they get their hands on it) and in stead of bright baskets, my mom finds something we can use around the house to put the candy in. Last year we had a convertible tupperware container filled with yummyness. I still get excited coming down Easter morning to see them sitting on the table. 8)

Now let's get to the good stuff. There is SO much candy but let me tell you about my top 5 favorite Easter candies!

5. Jelly Beans.

Not just ANY jelly beans. Yes, the gourmet ones are yummy but my favorites are Starbursts followed by Jolly Rancher. I keep a bag in my office draw and get a few out during the day to give me a sugar fix to last me til lunch. Word of the wise, the Life Saver ones are not that yummy.

4. Hershey's Cookies n' Cream eggs

Sadly, I could not find a picture of these delicious chocolates online so the picture of the cookies n' cream kisses are close enough. These are new as far as I know. I've always loved this candy bar but I'm not a big candy bar buyer. I never buy whole candy bars, too much to eat at one time, I'm a mini type of person so when I found these just this year, I was IN.LOVE. Cookies?! White chocolate?! Need I say more?

3. Milky Way Eggs

Milky Way is probably my top favorite candy bar. It has caramel in it, you know I snatch that up! So finding them in egg form for Easter is perfect. Mmmm.

2. Peeps

If there would be a candy list without Peeps on it, I'd be totally sad. I remember once upon a time we only had peeps at Easter time, slowly we had pumpkin Peeps for Halloween then hearts for Valentine's Day, not just any hearts, flavored hearts. And now I'm pretty sure Peeps now span all holidays and I'm totally okay with that. I love there marshmallow yumminess. And they are totally better stale. It truly is the best way to eat them!

1. Dove Truffle Eggs

This is the numero uno in our lives. Dove Truffle eggs are -only- available at Easter time so my family goes nuts over these. The moment one person spots them in the store, you best believe the rest of us will be notified immediately. I mean really, dove chocolate? Truffle? You can't go wrong. My mom usually buys out supplies for these babies and we fight over who gets the most in the Easter baskets. It is serious business.

So tell me, what are your must-have Easter candies??
