Its a funny thing about life... if you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often get it.

Title: Quote by W. Somerset Maughemh

So Saturday night after doing some more cleaning, Vito & I decided to head over to the next county so I could exchange a Christmas present. I thought the store was at the mall over there, but I was wrong. We I decided we should look around still. This mall is about 3 times the size of the one I have. The first store I saw was Williams Sonoma. Now my lovely Alex told me to find this place and love it because it was the closest place I could find Sprinkles.

After much deliberating, I walked out with Vanilla & Red Velvet mix. I’m sooooo excited to make them!!

Next we saw that Border’s Express store was going out of business so we decided to check and see what they had. Not much. Most of the shelves were bare but I did find 3 books from the Gossip Girl series for $1.20 each. A steal? I think so!

Once we were done there, I found one of my favorite stores.

I actually drafted a post last week with a whole bunch of jewelry I was coveting. Luckily I picked up a few of the pieces off my list! I love how cute they are and how cheap they are!

I also picked up a pair of Bow earrings but I can’t find a picture on the site. I also finally picked up a hootie owl necklace so I could fit in with the cool kids and it looks like this:

The only difference is it didn’t come with the pin. Sadly when I got home I noticed that one of his eyes was missing. Now I LOVE LOVE LOVE this store and especially since the jewelry is super cheap, but all jewelry sales are final, which means I now own a cute hootie owl necklace that looks retarded without an eye… Ugh. Oh well, I have him hanging in my room where I can admire his cuteness.

From there, we headed to get some dinner at the Macaroni Grill. The food was scrumptious but our server sucked majorly. I hav many pet peeves when it comes to restaurants (which will come in another point) but let’s just say this man broke almost all of them. He is lucky there was crayons for me to draw on the paper table cloth and the food was good or I might have walked out. But the best part? We splurged and got dessert which we hardly ever do. What did we get? mmmm.

Tiramisu! & it was fabulous!

By this time, it was getting late so we were about to go home when I noticed a regular Border’s across from the restaurant. I asked Vito if he minded if we quick ran in to check on something. Guess what I bought ladies?!

I could tell you how excited I am but I’ll just let you infer it. I will be reading this hopefully over the next week before school work kicks in full force and causes me to put books to the wayside.

To say the least it was a fabulous Saturday evening with my love!

I love the look of those necklaces...have always wanted to pair on of those with a blazer and a plain tee and jeans. Love that.

Kudos for finding an awesome deal on some reads--I've got a couple giftcards to there burning a hole in my wallet. Any recommendations?

What wasn't great about this post?

We made sprinkles cupcakes for my birthday :) They were super tasty! Red velvet is still my all-time fav.

Those necklaces are really adorable. I need to invest some new ones myself. Mix it up a bit. That sucks about your owl's eyeball. My condolences.

I've never heard of that book (Beautiful Creatures). I'll have to look into adding that to The List!

You have no idea how thrilled I am you will finally enjoy a Sprinkles Cupcake. I want a picture of the first bite. No lie.

Hi. I need Macaroni Grill in my life.

I also need to get that book!

Loves it!

Uh, hi, my name is mar and I am in love with every single necklace you bought! So there's that.

Also, please don't discriminate the owl for only having one eye. Wear him, make him feel like it's ok to be different and be proud of him. One-eyed-owl-necklaces are jewelry too ;)

Cool necklaces! Maybe your owl will just be winking all the time. =]

Now I wanna go look for Sprinkles cupcake mix because I hear all about them but have never had one and get a little jealous.

Love you!!!!!!!!!

I love posts about shopping. Also, PS, have you ever read any books by W. Somerset Maugham (from your quote)? They are some of my favorites! You should try A Painted Veil...and then see the movie. It never gets old and is so romantic :)
