"We read to know we are not alone."

Title: Quote by C.S. Lewis

Well tomorrow is officially 2 weeks until the end of break. Only 2 more weeks of freedom? Ugh. Why doesn't school go this fast?! Seriously.

So in between being sick and finding a wonderful love for Glee, I've been trying to get in some major reading before the semester approaches because when it does, not much leisure reading occurs. Who am I kidding, not much reading occurs period. Who reads textbooks anyway...

So with all this talk about Beautiful Creatures, I decided to venture out to Borders in an attempt to pick it up. You think they had it? Uhm, no. Absolutely not. Jerks. So here is my list of books I hope to read before break.

P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern
I loved this movie something big and I heard the book was better so I decided to give it a try!

The Pact by Jodi Picoult
Some of the ladies on Twitter recommended this and pretty much and of her other books so I picked up this one and:

Perfect Match by Jody Picoult
I read the summary on the back and I can't wait to read this book.

White Oleander by Janet Fitch
I saw this movie some time ago and always wanted to get the book. It was on the clearance rack today so I snatched it up.

The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
I bought this book right about I saw the movie and I just haven't been able to get through it. I've been told so many good things so I am going to try and get back into it!

Think that is enough books?? There are never enough books. I hope I get them done before the semester starts or they'll be waiting for break.

Tell me ladies, have you read any of these?
Also, any other suggestions for good books to read in 2010? I'm trying to compile a list! Help me out! 8)

I haven't read any of these. Although I did see "Time Traveler's Wife" on my flight back to the states and bawled my eyes out. I'm pretty sure the people sitting in front of me thought I was crazy.
Have you read The Host? Love that book. It's a little slow at the beginning, but well worth it by the end.
The Lovely Bones is a really good book too, movie's out/coming out soon/something like that.
My mom read a bunch of Judi Picoult, said they're really good.
Hope you review these books!

p.s. i love you may be one of my favorite books. ever. it's just fantastic.

from what i remember, white oleander is good. [i read it way too young to catch half of what was going on]

the time traveler's wife is good. some people love it, some hate it, so don't feel bad if you hate it =]

i haven't read either of the picoult books [i've only read my sister's keeper and plain truth] but she's bestselling. lol.

Alyssa- I saw it in the theaters. I cried. We already had an extensive talk about our love for The Host. Mm Ian. I have read Lovely Bone too and I can't wait for the movie (next Friday!! which I have plans so I sadly can't go). I've read My Sister's Keeper and loved it so I'm hoping to love these too! Sure, I will review them 8)

Tara- Yesterday already? Insane. I don't go back until the 19th. I can't wait to read The Pact. I heard it is a tear jerker.

Amanda- That movie gets me. As I read it and I can't stop hearing his accent and swooning. Mm. I hope I love A Time Traveler's Wife but we'll see. Haha. HAH she's best selling. You are amazing. I almost got Plain Truth. That is the one about the Amish right?

Meghan- We should just send each other books to borrow! Since I can't seem to find Beautiful Creatures (wtf?) Sigh.

I only read PS I Love You and loved it! All her books are amazeballs, so make sure to check them out! I have to say, that even though Gerard Butler, James Marsters (remember Spike from Buffy? I do ;) haha) AND Jeffrey Dean Morgan were in the movie, I didn't like it all that much. Had I not read the book it probably would have been ok, but the movie is soooo different. I hope you'll think the book is better and more funny (because it is :) ).
The books from Jodi Picoult look interesting (I know, don't judge a book by its cover, whatever. It's what I do) so if you've finished them, let me know if I should go get them, k?
K. Bye sweetie!

I HATED The Time Travelers Wife. I thought it was stupid...so now I'm not that excited for the movie.

I didn't know P.S. I love you was a book...I'm gonna have to go buy it now!

I've read two of these...Perfect Match and TTW. I think you should read She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb, just judging from what you've got here. I really liked it :)

Heather- I tried reading the book. I really did but there is so much jumping around. There was in the movie too, but I guess visually it was a bit easier to handle. I watched the movie and cried. Not gonna lie. Overall it was an okay movie. Yes, go buy it! I started reading it and it is hilarious! And sad! I love it already. 8)

Elizabeth- Did you like Perfect Match? I picked it up because of the description, I thought it sounded fabulous. I will definitely check that out! Thanks for the suggestion!
